New equipment to Plan 3000

Thanks to a donation from Ivar Atle Fjordheim the orchestra in Plan 3000 has now received some much needed equipment.

Tuesday 25th of November I personally delivered a bag full of bows, strings and rosin to an orchestra gathered in their dusty practice venue with egg cartons covering the walls. The children where surprised, but the staff were touched beyond measure. These noble workers have been working without pay since may now, and with a heavy heart they have been forced to teach their pupils with instruments in a terrible state and often impossible conditions.

As I handed them the generous gift from Norwegian sponsors their eyes filled with tears and they rejoiced as if it was Christmas in November. In the following video you will see them holding up their newly received additions to their school:
5 Violin bows (4/4) 1 Violin bow (1/2) 2 Cello bows 6 sets of violin strings
2 sets of viola strings
2 sets of cello strings
4 artificial rosin
2 real rosin
1 real cello rosin
Enjoy this video where the children voice together saying: "Muchas gracias!" (Thank you so much!)
